2026, RINGS OF FIRE + HISTORY OF HOCKEY
Activation, Mix of drawing + digital design for installation, CNC, and printing, CrossIron Mills
Created in collaboration with PARKL this was a huge install that would become the backdrop for the 2026 Calgary Flames signing event. One side, a hockey shoot-out complete with flaming targets and the other side a vast History of Hockey exhibition complete with artefacts on loan from the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame. My role was to develop the design of the wall, the placement of the artefacts, how they would be displayed, captioned and what order they should be installed in, as well as the overall design and art direction and production design for each of the pieces. Below this I developed a timeline of big moments in Alberta’s hockey history paired with pennants celebrating the dates and locations. Since this would be hugely attended by kids I wanted to give them something special and exciting to engage with. I developed four sensory objects including a giant puck with rubber applied to it, a hockey helmet with cage, a custom designed goalie pad that they could press on, and a shimmering and inviting Stanley Cup (it’s not bad luck if it’s not the real cup!) The sensory pieces were designed to be CNC’d, painted, and then have decals applied to them and have cut-outs that would reveal the texture of their item.
2025, MAKE UP RECYCLING CENTRE, Guildford Town Centre
Designed in collaboration with PARK for Guildford Town Centre, the Makeup Recycling Center was an interactive activation that invited the community to bring in their old makeup containers to be recycled. The activiation provided a fun photo op and some feel good for decluttering and turning their old glam green! My role included: art direction, development of the visual theme, application all over, illustration of all the elements, and developing the copy and different pieces for the promotion as well as the install itself.
Each envelope could be lifted to reveal facts about Guildford Town Centre’s eco-friendly efforts.
After dropping their makeup containers into the GLAM GOES GREEN bin, the user presses the button and their gift card voucher is dispensed.
2025, SUNS OUT | CHILL OUT + SILLY LOOSEY GOOSEY
Custom Painted Road Barrier Murals, BUMP RoadWorks 2025
Original artwork created for BUMP Roadworks 2025 designed for use as road barriers for patios and festivals the goal of the piece was to celebrate all things summer and readiness for fun in the sun! The first barrier pairs a lounging penguin with playful phrases—“sun’s out” and “chill out”—reminders to relax and enjoy the season. Inspired by vintage ice-bag lettering and campground freezers, the design evokes nostalgic summer memories. A bold red, blue, and teal palette keeps it vibrant, while the penguin, a nod to the Calgary Zoo, adds a whimsical local connection and a cool contrast to hot summer days.
The second barrier is a playful celebration of one of Canada’s most iconic (and chaotic) creatures: the Canada goose—reimagined as extra long, extra silly, and full of personality. With its exaggerated neck and curious expression, the goose leans into the absurdity and charm of urban wildlife, reflecting something familiar: awkward, persistent, and always appearing where you least expect it. On the reverse side, the scene continues with goslings, adding a protective, slightly chaotic energy. Rendered in bold colours and a cartoon-inspired style, the mural is bright, cheerful, and accessible to all ages—an unexpected moment of humour and delight in the everyday.
2025, TAKE THE SCENIC ROUTE
Designed Digital for e-Scooter Corral Mural Designs, BUMP: Beltline Urban Murals Project + City of Calgary
“Take the Scenic Route” celebrates the vibrant energy, creativity, and community of Calgary’s Beltline neighbourhood. Spanning four panels of an e-scooter corral, the design follows a flowing dotted-line map inspired by the paths we take to explore the area. Along the route, illustrated moments capture the spirit of everyday Beltline life. There are scooters zipping by, coffee with friends, live music, and local flora and fauna. Each scene acts as a snapshot of the neighbourhood’s charm and character. By transforming the corral into a playful visual journey, the mural becomes a love letter to urban exploration, connection, and the joy of city life.
2025, Road Trip Tourism Activation
Created with PARK Production House for CrossIron Mills’ spring road trip campaign, this installation included a stampable Passport to Savings postcard, tabletop map, kids’ sensory table, signage, and tote bag. I designed the tote inspired by local land and animals, evolving the visuals into a mid-century/Googie style with pastels, patterns, and type. The interactive tables featured laser-cut landmarks and sliding pieces. Visitors collected stamps, explored the installation, and earned shopping discounts. This was a wholly collaborative piece.
2024 - Leisure, Community, and Life’s Little Things
Foothills Hospital Tertiary Neuro-Rehabilitation Mural
Created in collaboration with the Tertiary Neuro-Rehabilitation Recreation Therapy team at Foothills Hospotal, this mural was a volunteer project with paint and supplies provided by TNR. I developed the concept and illustrations with input from the team to ensure themes resonated with patients’ experiences and rehabilitation goals. The mural depicts a wide range of activities patients may look forward to—skiing, gardening, walking the dog, reading, knitting—representing life beyond the hospital. Using layered organic shapes, surreal proportions, and bold colours, I aimed to inspire and delight both patients and therapists, brightening their time in the room while celebrating Calgary’s spirit of living and play.
2023, PADDLE YOUR OWN CANOE
Designed Digitally for Large Scale Custom Vinyl Printed Murals for Virtual Gurus offices
Original artwork created for client Virtual Gurus office space. The phrase paddle your own canoe means to be independent and steadfast in what you do. A perfect match for the self-driven Gurus. In terms of styling I pulled in illustrated elements, the meeting of the rivers lands just above the doorframe and the rivers have small folks canoeing and waterbirds peppered throughout, theres an idealized city skyline of Calgary, layered in among the grasses and wild rose motifs to add some surrealism and levity.
2023, THIS MUST BE THE PLACE
Designed Digitally for Large Scale Custom Vinyl Printed Murals for Virtual Gurus offices
This welcoming mural is an affirmation for team members and guests. I pulled in in graffiti styling and texture and added in hand-lettering elements and more illustration pieces. The illustrations in the word PLACE are relevant to the city and surrounding settings: wide open starry skies, wild roses, wheat and grassland prairies, the meeting of the Bow and Elbow, Calgary Tower, the Bow, and mountain ranges.
